Sept. 30 Weekend Stars

Here are some standout individual performances at both the high school and college level from over the weekend. Players listed alphabetically. Noah Callery, Doherty: For the second week in a row, this junior quarterback led the Highlanders to a game-winning touchdown drive in the final seconds. On Saturday against Shrewsbury, Callery completed 21-of-31 passes for 291 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 139 yards and three scores on 14 carries. With the Highlanders trailing and the ball at their 9-yard line and just 1:14 to play, Callery led the team on a touchdown drive that concluded with a 14-yard pass to Jaeden Baxter with 14 seconds left. Jayden Clerveaux, Everett: This sophomore is quickly becoming one of the best running backs in the state. In his team's 36-21 win over Brockton, he rushed for nearly 200 yards and two touchdowns. Sept. 23 Weekend Stars

Here are some standout individual performances at both the high school and college level from over the weekend. Players listed alphabetically. Matt Arvanitis, Holliston: The senior quarterback threw for a touchdown and rushed for another in the Panthers' 21-18 win over Barnstable. Dan and JJ Block, Amherst: Dan, a running back, and his twin brother, JJ, an aptly-named fullback, had key performances in the Hurricanes' 12-9 win over East Longmeadow. Dan had 127 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 12 carries. He also made 10 tackles at linebacker. Block put defenders on their backs all night and made a sack on defense. Matt Brehon, Merrimack: This running back rushed for 175 yards and three touchdowns in the second half of the Warriors' 76-7 win over Mayville State. Connor Bryant, Methuen: In the Rangers' 26-14 win over Tewksbury, the senior quarterback completed all 11 passes he attempted for 146 yards and two touchdowns. He also carried the ball 24 times

This is our All-NEPSAC team for programs that compete in Massachusetts. Since we are incorporating Class A teams into the mix this year, we are going to do our best to expand the number of players chosen. This includes post-graduate students. (Courtesy photo) JD Antaya, Blackstone Valley Tech: The senior rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries as the Beavers beat Northbridge, 21-8. Jason Demild, American International: In his team's 28-23 win over Bentley, the sophomore quarterback threw for 200 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 75 yards and two more scores. AJ Dillon, Boston College: The junior running back carried the ball 27 times for 151 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles 48-24 loss to Kansas. Mathias Fowler, Lynn English: This do-it-all junior completed 8-of-13 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns, rushed for 192 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries, and made four pass breakups on defense in the Bulldogs' 33-30 win over Swampscott. Alex Berrouet, Acton-Boxboro: This junior picked up from where he left off last season, scoring touchdowns on runs of 55 and 15 yards, along with a 40-yard pick-six . Andrew Brazicki, Bentley: The junior rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries for the Falcons in a 14-7 loss to West Chester Saturday. "Chris Crew" of Stoughton: Juniors Christian Ais , Christopher Ais , and Christian Georges all stood out for the Black Knights in a 35-16 win over Framingham. Christian Ais rushed for 80 yards on
